In a buyer’s inspection we do a visual from the bottom
to the top. The goal of a buyer inspection is to identify any
material defects in the systems, structures and components
of the home. In this inspection we will look at:
•
Insulation
•
Ventilation
•
Roof & Flashings
•
Gutters
•
Crawlspace
•
Foundation
•
Grading
•
Siding & Trim
•
Doors & Windows
•
Ceilings
•
Floors
•
Walls
•
Chimney
•
Fireplace
•
Electrical System
•
Water Heater
•
Plumbing System
•
Air Conditioning and Heating
A Buyer inspection is extremely important, since a home is
often the largest investment a person will ever make. We want
to help you protect your investment by doing a general evaluation
of the home. Our inspectors will objectively determine if
there are any defects in the systems, structures and components
of the home, while adhering to industry regulations and standards.

Seller Inspection
Interested in selling your home?
An inspection may help you sell your house faster by already
determining the property as problem free. An inspection can
also give you a chance to repair any problems before having
to negotiate down a price or add allowances to fix it later.
Doing a seller inspection can mean a lot of money saved for
you and a higher price for your home. If you identify and
solve problems before listing you will have a better negotiating
stance later.
We inspect the same areas in a seller’s inspection as
in our buyer’s inspection because the level of detail
we give each house is the same in whether you are buying and
selling. We go beyond just inspecting; we want you to learn
from our inspection, which can also help identify good selling
points to make known to potential buyers.

Relocation
We do relocation inspections
often for government employees, private investors, or corporate
entities. This type of home inspection is performed like any
other inspection, but it is much more in-depth because the
purchaser is buying the home sight unseen. We make these reports
as detailed as possible with a lot of pictures and graphic
definitions because we are the customer’s set of eyes.
The Relocation inspection also requires more time to complete:
For phone calls, faxes, emails, and regular mail. This is
one of the largest purchases of your life and it’s made
with someone else’s judgment, so shouldn’t you
hire someone you can trust?

Closing Walk-through
Is construction almost completed
on your newly built house? We do inspections for your normal
closing walkthrough with your builder, this way you can identify
possible problems before you actually start living in your
house. Why not make sure your house is perfect before you
actually live in it? This way you will know your house is
just what you want it to be before you sign the dotted line.

Insurance
Texas Star Home Inspections
does insurance inspections when there may be a dispute on
age the age of certain materials (such as roof coverings)
or an insurance company may not have someone available to
inspect the property before insuring. We inspect to give insurance
companies more information about what they may be insuring.
In this inspection we will either do a partial inspection
on the materials in question or a whole inspection for the
overall condition of the house. It is also Texas state law
now for insurance companies to accept all of the TREC inspector’s
findings and their reports.

Warranty
Newly constructed homes typically
carry only a one-year builder's warranty. Once the year is
up, there is no way to know what surprise repairs might occur
after this period. This is where our Warranty Inspection
helps out, we can help you find out how well your home has
aged during its first year while providing you with information
on the proper care and operation of your home's systems. Our
Warranty Inspection will help identify problem
areas for your builder to fix before the repairs come out of
your pocket.

Partial
Did you have a new deck added to your home? Or maybe a new
room added on? Texas Star Home Inspections will do any inspections
of structures or projects in the home; we call this a partial
inspection. We can also do partial inspections on any major
appliances, (HVAC, etc), roofing, or any other specific part
of your home. Partial inspections can only be performed on
a property being bought or sold, otherwise it would be a consultation
service not an inspection.
